June Meeting

Our June meeting was on June 7th at Karyli's house. What a great hostess. While we waited for members to arrive she treated us with a wonderful fruit pizza. It was so good!

Rula had been gone for a time and when she returned she brought the group goodies. A bundle of Batiks for each of us!! How fun. They are beautiful. Thank you Rula!!

May's Meeting

This post is late, sorry. We had our meeting at Shannon and Nicole's house on May 3rd. Karyli did a demo on how to make string blocks. She showed a quilt at the previous meeting of this quilt. It was fun to learn a new technique.

April Meeting

We had our meeting on April 5th at Sheryl's House. We had such a great time!! We are all so glad to be a part of such a great group of ladies! We had a show-n-tell time. Shannon did a demonstration of one technique to make flying geese. We spent a lot of time "squealing" over our blocks. They are getting bigger and with each addition we are loving our quilts more and more.

March Post

We had our March meeting at Nikki's house. We had a few minutes to chat about out blocks. We are all so excited to see what each other has done. We jumped right in.

February Meeting

We had such a great time this month. We had a few minutes that we had a show and tell. Then we talked about our Mercy Border Quilt. Shigae showed us how to get crayon out of fabric if we need to. You use Goof Off. You put some on the back side of the fabric, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then rub gently with a clean white cloth until the crayon comes out. Then you can just wash it. Then I showed the ladies about this blog and how to post a comment. I hope that I helped. Here are our Mercy Border Quilt blocks.

What great quilt blocks. It is so wonderful that we have so many creative women in our little group.

January Meeting

We just had our first meeting of this year. What a great group of gals. We have a new member, that brings us up to 9 members. We brought out 12 1/2" X 14 1/2" block. They are so cool.

Our goal is to come back in February having put a border on our blocks that we traded. It can be anywhere between 1" to 4" It can be pieced, solid, plain, or busy. A few gals brought fabric they would like used and the rest have left it totally up to the next person. Next month we will take pictures and then we will switch again.

Sheryl gave us some pointers on how to measure our blocks to make sure we get the right measurement. She also helped us to learn more about the difference between ironing and pressing. Great tips. It is always good to learn.
